Tamie’s Syndicates

What is Syndication?

Horse ownership syndication is when a group of people comes together to purchase shares in a promising horse for a professional event rider. These shares not only cover the actual cost to buy the horse, but the annual costs needed to maintain the horse. For example, if you are joining a horse ownership syndication which offers 10 shares, then you and 9 other people will own that event horse and help maintain the costs of your event horse on an annual basis. The good news is that all of these costs are usually predetermined, and syndications come in many affordable price ranges!

Ellen Ahearn, Eric Markell and Tamie Smith have organized and established the MB Group LLC to help Tamie and Next Level Eventing acquire, produce and compete young horses through the upper levels of eventing. With the assistance of Dr. Maren Engelhardt of Heidelberg, Germany, a knowledgeable advisor in the field of European eventing horses, the MB Group has recently acquired two young horses of excellent pedigree and promise.

MB MaiBlume is a 2010 German Sport Horse Mare who is already making her mark in the eventing world. “Blume” is by Sir Schiwago (by Sir Donnerhall I) and out of a Thoroughbred mare with outstanding jumper bloodlines. She was imported from the barn of Julia Schmid in Lonsee-Urspring, Germany. In early 2016, Blume made her US competition debut in Training level at Shepherd Ranch, where she finished on her dressage score to place 3rd. Next, Tamie and Blume won the Preliminary at Rebecca Farm, finishing on their dressage score. NLE is thrilled with Blume’s talent and athleticism, and can’t wait to see what this amazing young horse accomplishes next!

MB MaiStein is a 2010 Oldenburg gelding from the barn of Kai-Steffen Meier in Gesves, maisteinBelgium. MaiStein is by the Westfalian stallion Rocky Lee, a successful dressage horse at PSG/Inter I level with Ramiro Z bloodlines, and out of a full Thoroughbred mare by Heraldik XX (one of the best eventing sires in the world). With over 50% direct Thoroughbred blood in his first 4 generations, MaiStein has all of the right ingredients to become an eventing superstar. Tamie plans to allow MaiStein to grow and develop into a 4-year-old in 2017, at which point his training will commence and initial competition at the lower levels will be possible.

Ten shares are currently available in the MB Group LLC Syndicate. For more information on this exciting opportunity, click here or contact Tamie directly.
